Waste Management
Waste Management
A waste management system is the strategy an organization uses to dispose, reduce, reuse and prevent waste. The college will adopt the principles of the ‘best practicable environment option’ in the delivery of its waste management services. The college recognizes the importance of meeting these legal requirements and to manage its waste responsibly reduces the volume of waste sent to landfill. College currently composts green waste generated on campus, which includes grass clippings, leaf litter, and other landscaping related refuse. The college facilitates some techniques for the management of degradable and non-degradable waste. The college has different dustbins to segregate the different waste like solid, liquid etc. Every day the waste is collected in bins and disposed to a place where it can be converted into manure. Different bins have been placed at different parts of building. The college has organized Swachh Bharat Mission. The various liquid wastes generated from canteen, laboratories and washroom are drained. Proper drainage system is arranged for all the buildings of the campus. E-waste generated in the institution includes non-functional monitors, CPU, UPS, Printers, Key-boards, Compact discs and Pen drives etc.
